Nancy Lowe Diver ’53 MAB

Nancy Lowe Diver ’53 MAB, was a fervent believer in education and gave generously to her community. When she passed away in 2022 after a short illness at the age of 86, Nancy remembered her alma mater through a gift in her will.

Nancy worked hard actively supporting Stoneleigh-Burnham School. She joined the Stoneleigh-Burnham Board of Trustees in 1971 and was awarded Emerita status in 2003. The courtyard at the center of the main building is dedicated to Nancy in honor of her long-term service.

Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Arthur G. Diver, with whom she enjoyed 57 years of marriage. She taught elementary school after graduating from Vassar College, then fully embraced the role of nurturing her family of four children.

Nancy’s obituary stated, “The motto on the Lowe Family Coat of Arms is ‘Spero Meliora’, ‘I hope for better things’ and Nancy took this to heart with her optimistic focus on the positive and what she could do, not what she could not.”
