Betty Stout

Betty Stout's gift to the Speak Up for Stoneleigh-Burnham Campaign will help bolster the School as it recovers from the pandemic.

Trustee Emerita Elizabeth "Betty" Stout '61 MAB has an email footer that reads, "Take care of yourself, those you love, and your neighbors." She lives this motto every day.

A 1961 graduate of the Mary A. Burnham School, Betty gives back to her community and her alma mater. In Savannah, Georgia, Betty is a volunteer on citywide social justice and human rights issues, and she is an active breast cancer volunteer. She also remains dedicated to SBS.

Betty's recent gift as a lead donor in the Speak Up for Stoneleigh-Burnham Campaign will help fuel enrollment growth, increase alumnae participation, and create exciting new ways for students to have access to a quality girls' education. Her gift is supporting a critical effort to bolster the School's finances as it recovers from the worldwide pandemic. Since the beginning of the campaign, 25 donors have contributed $1,882,745—more than halfway to the $3.5 million goal.
